1 pint glass on tap at Casa de Pico in La Mesa. Pours a rich copper-amber color with a small white head that quickly fades to nothing. Served way too cold, so there was pretty much no aroma to speak of, just the faintest trace of caramel malts. The flavor was mild with caramel, walnuts and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was medium with lively carbonation. The finish is short and clean. Overall: Not bad for a Mexican macro, very drinkable, this is a good choice with mexican food.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with thin, off-white head. Aroma is sweetish caramel, some corn like macro odor. Body is light, has some slight vegetable adjunct flavors. Throughout there are hints of hop bitterness and a lingering bitterness holds in the finish -definitely the best thing this beer has going for it. Creamy, moderately full mouthfeel.

Bottled 33cl. 4.5 ABV. It pours a decent amber-brown beer with a small tanned head. The nose is of cheese, malt, light smoke, marshmallows, bread, vinegar, tobacco and apples. The taste is slightly acidic, metallic with hints of cheese, celery and marshmallows. Very bad artificial finish. This beer makes you cringe.

Bottled. Not that awful as far as a mexican macro goes. More passable than the other stuff.

Draught at restaurant. Poured amber with fast disappearing head. Faint aroma, malt, sort of sweet. Smooth sweetish body, good off set for spicy Mexican food. Light faint finish. Better than most macro lagers, and quite good for a Mexican beer.
