Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

12-oz. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a loose scattering of tannish film across the top. Sweaty nose with bits of black pepper in there. Creamy lightish body. Some toasted malt, some doughy malt on the mid-palate. Nothing on the finish to keep them company. Now I know why they want you to stay thirsty, my friends--they’d feel bad if you weren’t in the mood to go drink something else after one of these.

Like the Special Lager, but a little darker, a little sweeter, and little more roasted.

12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pours is a rusty brown with 2 fingers of white head. Nose is malt, sugar, and light caramel. Taste is a little bland, kinda sweet. Not terrible actually, kinda of surprised. I could drink a few of these and not have bitter beer face.

355ml bottle. Coppery brown colour with a modest white ehad and good carbonation. Blandness to the aroma, some smoky notes coming through. Bitter burnt flavour and not very pleasant.

bottle: pint glass: actually not so terrible... pours a dark copper leaving a thick head ring. Nose is all malts, some metallic... the taste is again malts, roasted and sweet... seems to be a decent amount of sugars in here. Easily drinkable although I don’t know how many I could actually throw back.

Bottle. 4.7%. Clear amber pour with a fair white head, decent retention. Aroma is very sweet, malty. Taste is caramel, roasted almonds, and sweet malts, finish is very dry and grainy. Mouthfeel is quite good. I quite enjoyed this. $14.99 @ Liquor Depot Mayfield Common

Amber colored pour with a decent sized head. Aroma of malts. Flavor is nutty and not bad, just a little watered down.
