Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Very good beer. My favorite Dos Equis. good flavor, but did have a hint of metallic taste which i cant stand in beers. Its pretty good and better than corona and modelo.

much better and more flavorful than its cousin XX Special Lager. Pours a light amber color, very smooth, very refreshing especially with a hot plate of mexican food. Light in aroma and bitterness

Bottle. This was a nice change for me, easier to drink because it doesn’t have the skunk smell that most cheap beer a 21 yr old drinks. It’s smooth--only complaint is the strong after taste--very bitter.

Draft in Tex-Mex restaurant in Boise, ID. Aroma is not-so-much-skunk lager. Thin amber with slight head. Better than industrial US lager, but still a watery industrial lager.

Drank it by the bucket full on the beach in Playa del Carmen, MX. Better than Corona but not as good as Modelo.

Slightly flat, yet smooth. Leaves lingering taste. Quick transition to finish. Slightly acrid aftertaste. Forced bitterness.

I much prefer this beer on draft with Mexican food - maybe it’s just psychological. I purchased a six pack after having it in a restaurant and it wasn’t the same experience at home watching TV. I needed the chips and salsa in front of me and a burrito on the way. Better than Corona though. Wouldn’t turn it down if someone else was buying.
