Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Bottle, amber coloured beer with a white head on it. The smell is light sweet, yeasty and light grainy, but is very weak and too light. It has a better taste than the XX Lager Beer, but is not very well balanced with a shell-fruitedf, sweet amber taste, light grainy and without finish.

For some reason, I always pass over dos equis, but I bought a case for the first time recently, and I like it. Great amber color, white head, no real aroma, but when it’s nice and icy cold, you certainly can’t do better for the price :)

We’ve all had it a million times. It’s better than regular XX but not all that super special, ya know?

Bottle at the LCBO - The World’s most intersting man has failed me. This beer.... is really not that good.... At least it pours decent with a nice amber colour and white head, but that’s probably the best part about it. The aroma is very faint with small grass and copper notes. The taste seems somewhat tainted with copper and hints of sweetness and bread, but too faint to give it a great taste. It’s dry and bitter, but not that enjoyable.

355 mL Bottle. Copper body with a thin short-lived bubbly head. Aroma is sweet, a combination of sweet malt, sweet corn, a faint note of melon, a subtle syrupiness to it, and an innuendo of very fresh fish. Light malt flavor stands out enough to say: "this is beer, not some kind of swill". A bit of hops come through in the aftertaste followed by a very mildly skunky finish -in a way it reminds me of Molson Canadian. Brownie points for not being too offensive.

On tap. Amber brown color, no head. Nose is sweet malt and some fruitiness. Flavor is a clean malty flavor, some mild fruit and grains. Refreshing beer. Glad that they are keeping the Vienna Lager alive.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. The color is a light amber/gold with a slight white head. No lacing. The smell is a bit sweet with a grain flavor and some dry fruit feel. The taste is a light malt feel, is a bit sweet some grainy flavor. Not a lot here to get excited about. The feel of this beer is light, crisp and refreshing and is light in ABV so it makes for a good session beer. This is a fairly easy drinking beer and is a better beer for hot days, goes well with steak.

I remember a time......when this was it! That time has passed. Still good with some tacos if Modelo is unavailable at your local burrito bar.
