| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a nice reddish amber color, but served with a thin filmy head that almost completely disappears. No lacing, scant traces of carbonation in the "head." No real aroma except a little cereal grain that may have been imaginary.
A hint of caramel malt is noticeable in the first sip. If you take another sip right away, you won’t notice it any more. Put the beer down for a spell, and you notice it again. Light to medium body, too lightly carbonated. blinesam (233), USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Dos equis, the old Mexican favorite, it’s been a while old friend. Used to drink these out at the old defunct tequila junction at station square. I drink this as I rate. Brown 12 oz bottle from the Beer Store in Moon, nice prices! Has a yeasty beery aroma that fades to a hint of fruityness. This pours darker than your average pale yellow american beer, brownish dark orange. I never would have dreamed this is a Vienna! Has a whitish beige head that fades rapidly. Oh, yes the flavor of this cerveza, little maltier with a tinge of bitterness on the tongue, more personality than the typical pale yellow beer. Possibly even a bit of ungentlemanlike behavior! However, this is much less bitter than Schell firebrick and GL Elliot ness. The mildness of this makes it one of my better viennas. I think this may be better than blue point toasted lager, which was my best Vienna till today. Finish is decent with out too much bitterness, and whatever is there don’t linger. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2007 32oz mug of this at Acupulco reasturant in Woodbury for only 3 bones! Probably the best mexican beer, which doesnt say to much, but at least it has some base and doesnt taste like comlete piss like Tecate or Corona. Tejas (697), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jan 2, 2007 I’ve never liked this beer. I suppose it’s to be better than the green XX but I don’t see it. I never detected a single amount of malt or any amber characteristics whatsoever.
