Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

This beer has a nice color with a weak small head. It is slightly bitter, after the malt and sweet taste leave. There may be some caramel involved as well...it is what it is...

Got this from a few friends who were drinking it to simply get drunk...that’s pretty much all this beer is good for.

I just looked in my glass and its 3/4s gone already. I remember a clearish amber with little head and tons of carbonation. Light caramel and grassy nose. Some caramel malt in the flavor but mostly water and grassy beer. Meh.

Bottle. Una cerveza mas por Cino de Mayo por favor. Pours clear amber with a 2 finger white head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is caramel and grain. The taste is caramel malt and some earthy grass. Medium bodied. Not great, but serviceable. I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, it sure won’t be Dos Equis lager. This amber version is ok.

Sampled at the pre-Cinco de Mayo tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 5.1.09. Amber color with a medium off-white head. Malty aroma with not much else going on. Lager yeast flavor that is very bland.

Tap. Dark with white head. I will say this beer was very very unimpressive to me. Thankfully they put a lime in it or it may have gone down the drain.

2009 Bottle - Pours dk orange with a small off white head...aroma is skunky malt, a bit metallic...flavour is alll but non-existant, very thin and watery grains and malt, slightest bitterness that flees the scene...whatever...

Amber in color. Not really much aroma. Not much in the way of flavor. Not a huge fan.
