greedycheater (69), Oklahoma, USA Mar 13, 2008 What is that? Lemon/lime scent - I can’t place it? Is it some sort of cleaning solution? The color is truly amber but lacking a head or any lacing worth mentioning. Sharp, biting initial taste with a light body. It’s somewhat hoppy but not in a particularly pleasing way. No wonder people add salt and lime. Drinkable but not flavorful.
JonR888710 (980), Cochabamba, Bolivia Jul 3, 2008 Sampled on draught at Carlos O’Kelley’s restaurant in Fairfax, VA. Pours a fine, clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has some caramel in it, with dry seltzer water hops, like its brother Dos Equis lager. Works very well with spicy mexican food, beans, chips and the like. Paired with food, this is not a bad choice. But certainly not something a conniseur would drink. Decent beer. azlondon (454), Greater London, England Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Light, golden brown. Little bit of head.
Aroma: Malt, maybe some caramel and hops. Sweet.
Taste: Some malt and hops. Dry. Nothing special.
Info: 330ml bottle, 23/4-2007 hop_lover (100), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Jun 27, 2008 Nothing too impressive about this one. Some of my friends realy like it but I dont understand why. I probably wont ever have it again. Changed (48), Ithaca, New York, USA Jun 25, 2008 12 oz straight from the bottle. Cringed as I popped the top off, anticipating the filth that lay before me. Slowly I tipped my head back, drowning my boredom with sip after sip of a poor excuse of a cardboard flavored beer.
Note to my mother’s friends: next time you bring this beer with you for a dinner party, remember to either A. drink it all, or B. take it with you. Thanks mweber962000 (41), USA Jun 24, 2008 a average decent amber. i like the green bottle better but this will do too. its good to change and and intertwine the two for variety. easily available in any mexican restauraunt. not bad.
