AaronBouchard (128), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Nov 6, 2009 345 bottle from Mexican restaurant , not very much aroma, poured a light body , tasted a little more flavor then Corona but still was nothing more then a light beer to wash down food.
An average light beer with a great advertising campaign and high price. thehurt01 (200), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 28, 2009 a 22 oz bottle. the beer poured a gold body with a fizzy white head. the smell is strong corn. the taste is better then the smell with a good carbonation. probstk (1005), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2009 355 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a small white head.
Aroma: Generic light cereal/grain malts, a touch of caramel, a bit of floral and grassy hops, a weird sweetness.
Palate: Medium body and medium-ish carbonation.
Flav.: Like the nose, there is some light malt, a touch of caramel, a wee hint of hops; dry with no bitterness to speak of.
Ole? The commercials are WAY better than the beer. Stay thirsty, my friends. phaleslu (420), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 16, 2009 12 oz. bottle back-to-back with a Tecate at a Mexican restaurant in LAX. Tough to distinguish between the two, so I rated them exactly the same. Pours a pale clear gold with a big white head, but not quite as much carbonation as its cousin Tecate. Aroma of grains, rice, corn, malt and flavor of the same, but watery. Carbonation once again gives a bubbly, watery mouthfeel. Bland, and once again the bartender told me I was missing out by not using a lime and was bewildered that I wanted separate glasses for the beers. Maybe he was right. mcberko (122), British Columbia, Canada Oct 14, 2009 330mL bottle poured into a glass. Light-bodied, weak and watery pale lager. Slightly less offensive than Canadian and US macro lagers. voiceofreason (44), New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2009 Fine tasting beer,I have no issues with it. But it doesn’t scream Mexico to me, when I’m feeling South of the Border. The only time I drink it is part of the "Beers of Mexico" case at Sam’s Club & it always is finished after the XX Amber, Tecate & Sol that accompany it in the box. doomfistinc (15), New Mexico, USA Sep 30, 2009 A completely non-offensive, very drinkable beer. Not much aroma, but what is there is quite pleasant. Very clear taste with EXTREMELY clean finish.
One of my favorites, if only for the universal drinkability of it. 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Sep 26, 2009 Bottle. Clean like water. No character, easy drinking. Less offensive than I remembered it being.
