Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Rated while drinking: Pale golden color with a small white head. Smells like a bush or maybe mowed grass. More sugar-flavored water here. Fun to pound ’em at a party probably. Better than mainstream American beers I guess.

Bottle. Pale yellow. Mild grain/corn nose. Very thin, watery and near-lifeless palate. Flavour would be similar to cornflakes in water. A disappointing beer consumed in desperate times.

I wasn’t crazy about this brew. Bitter skunky aroma. Nothing special on flavor. I dont reccomend it. I Have yet to try the brown-bottled cousin.

Green bottle. Pours a crystal clear, light straw color, with a thin white head. Light malt aroma, with a slight yeast/vinegar aroma. Nice full body for a pale lager, with a well rounded flavor. Still taste a bit of the vinegar thought. But, the rest of the beer doesn’t seem to have gone bad.

Great with Mexican food or on a hot day. Usually pop one open when I’m doing lawn work. Hint of hops, very simple brew. Nothing to write home about.

Pours a clear golden color into the shaker glass. A quick hint of hops diminish. A very one dimensional lager with nothing too exciting going on. A good pairing for Mexican food.
