Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

An OK Mexican beer. Hard to distinguish from the others, only difference is the bottle. It is good in the summer at the beach.

I had always been stubborn to try this beer, but I have to say that it has surprised me. It has everything I am looking for in a pale lager. I pours a clear amber color with a thin white head that lasts a lot for this type of beer. It smells malts and fresh hops. Very carbonated (something I really appreciate in pale lagers). Very soft flavor of malts and hops, but very refreshing. Decent palate. Very refreshing and easy to drink beer.

Bottle. Plenty of carbonation, light aroma and flavor. Enjoyable simple beer and good thirst quenching ability. Not much head to this beer and not entirely watery.

Not as good as the regular, but has a good strong beer taste that makes a good drinking beer as well as tasting beer.

Bottle. Dark yellow pour with thin fizzy head, though the brew had lots of artificial carbonation with huge bubbles. Slight hoppy aroma. Flavor of some corn and rice. Bitter finish. My beverage of choice from Mexico.

Draft-Memphis. Brillant yellow color with thin white head served in a Margarita glass with a lime. Perfect on a hot summer day.

Way better then corona, so when in Ixtapa, its the thing to drink. Nothing special, easy to drink lager, but wouldnt buy it around here, cause they get import prices on it, not worth it.

Bottle/draft. Not sure about the "special" labeling but definitely a step above the Corona offerings. I slightly prefer this beer over its amber cousin. Best served in a frosty margarita glass.
