Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

(Bottle) Pours yellow with small head. Sweet aroma. Bland, with some off-tastes. Not very hoppy. Sour aftertaste. I recommend the Dos Equis Amber over this stuff any day.

Very dull bronze. No head, no visible carbo. Heavy adjunct and fusel aroma. Makes the bland Sol tasted before it seem enticing in comparison. Tart, grainy, green flavour. No me gusta.

Bottle at Bakersifelds Brews in The Village; The Dos Equis amber is not too bad, this is not so good. Grainy pale lager nose and taste!

355 ml. bottle. First tried on homeymoon in Akumel, Quintana Roo in the Yucatan Peninsula. It was stocked in our fridge. The one thing that had to be restocked daily. Very refreshing...Better than Corona Extra. Hint: Keep your room’s a/c at about 65 degrees F and the geckos will not bother you...

Cold 12oz bottle and on tap: Pale golden color with minor white bubbles on sides of glass. Aroma of straw/grass, some corn. Smooth and refreshing. Great light body lager for a hot summer day.

For a mexican lager this ain’t bad. Better than corona. Tastes a little like corn and hops. Watery mouthfeel.

Beer had a strange soapy taste. I’ve had this beer a few times, and every time, I get a strange soap flavor on the front end. Pours with little to no head, brownish color. Not impressed.
