Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Bottle . Cyprus @ All about beer. It’s basically your typical lager beer that exists in every country. Not bad but defenitely nothing special about it.

Nothing too bad about this one but nothing special for sure... Damn sure not worth the price. Drink if someone else is buying but don’t waste your own money.

Slightly better than most of the American macro brews, but nothing special. Sweetish, not much hoppiness to balance. Low on flavor overall.

Just another beer. Undistinguished color with no head. Next to no aroma. Next to no taste. Not offensive; not impressive

Courtesy of Juan Baldez who obviously found this bottle discarded in a coffee bean field. Prior to this tasting I’d hammered down plenty of Dos Equis on previous trips to Mexico at a cost of a little less than 25 cents per bottle. I must attest that the beer is worth every cent of that quarter! The pale thin white head greets your eyes prior to the faint skunky aroma filling your nostrils. The flavor is similar to a flat Corona Light without a lime twist. Overall, the beer is pretty okay. It serves as a nice thirst quencher while in Tijuana waiting in a long line for the next " Donkey Show". *TWO out of FIVE STARS*

Not one of my favorite mexican beers but it could do in a pinch. The one drawback is the not too pleasant aftertase that sometimes hits the back of your throat

Pale yellow. Very little aroma at all. Flavor is grainy with very light hops. Thin and watery. The amber isn’t great but it is significantly better than this.

Not bad for a pale lager, but not great by any means. The brew features a light hop flavor with a little malt and a little bit of grain. Better than the alternative at most Mexican restaurants.
