Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Pours pale with small white head. Corn/grainy aroma, very little flavour. Quite watery. What you’d expect from a Mexican pale lager.

Bottle. Pours almost clear in colour. No aroma. Light, but sweet taste. Good for a really hot summers day, but that’s it!

Pours a golden yellow with a heavy corn aroma. Tastes a lot of maize with mild metallic flavor. A very non flavorful beer that isn’t special.

Not very good even for cheap beer. Tastes like a boring lager at first then there is a light bad aftertaste. The bad aftertaste is like wet dog. Lots of corn taste.

On tap at a mexican restaurant. Pours a light copper with an offwhite head. Aroma is corny and grainy with a bit of hop. Flavor is clean grainy, bland and boring, but crisp with my spicy food. Not very good

330 ml bottle. Golden color, white head. Malty aroma and flavor. Slightly tart mouthfeel. Light body, medium-high carbonation. Contrary to the name, there’s nothing special about this brew.

Light straw color; Light to medium body; Aroma of malt and grain; Flavor primarily of light malt & hops and some caramel; Not as bland or watery as I expected; Actually this is a decent macro lager - one of the better Mexican brews for me.

Great ads, mediocre beer. Why do so many people like this? Primarily corn in flavor, clear, goes flat easily. One must jam a lime into the top if one seeks any taste other than corn. Pretty much glorified swill beer. Not good. But I just love that guy! We bought a stand up model of him from a liquor store for a party and he actually made some of the female guests uncomfortable because he kept staring at them.

Crisp, golden, some mild malts, hops, a little bit of yeasty quality and typical watered down aspect all warm climate beer has, very refreshing though. DOS
