Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Had this one in mexico. Not a big fan of dos equis, but I guess if I had to choose, id pick DE over corona. Typical mexican brew.

Sampled during Swig-a-Swill Guzzler in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear straw pale brew with a thin white head that totally disappears clean when served at 35° F. Aroma of golden grain malt, some mild grassy hops and a hint of corn. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation and flavors of golden grain malt, corn and grassy hops. Finish is pretty much watery, clean cut with no aftertaste.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of apples, skunky. Tastes skunky and caramelly with a touch of sweet malt on the finish.

What can you say about XX besides it is a low end skunk. This is cool when you are young but should be forbidden after age 21.

Pretty bland. A lot of skunk. Maybe an old bottle. At least I hope so. Keep it in Mexico.
