Unlike Corona, Dos Equis is truly ’The drinko for Cinqo de Mayo". El Real de Cervezas Mexicanos - the best Mexican beer I’ve ever had and my beer of choice whenever I eat at a Mexican Restaurant. It must be brewed in the tradition of the Austrian brewmeisters that came to Mexico when Maximillian ruled in the 1860’s It has bit of a Europen edge that I like in a beer - just the right amount of bitterness.

Dec 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is grain and sugar, with some malt and hops. Flavor is sugar, grain, and malt. Light to medium body.

Appearance: clear pale golden lager with rather light top with even shorter life span. 2-
Nose: malty , grainy with hint of cardboard , finishing with corn and mineral water.3+
Flavor/Palate : mid bodied. Fairly decent frontal malty feel rounded up by sweet canned corn. Not to offensive , not overly carbonated with half decency. Bit oily textures on top. Very light hop hints.

Dec 23, 2009 Light, sweet, and refreshing with noticeable corn flavour. Less skunky than Corona. I guess pairing it with Mexican food wouldn’t be too bad.

Dec 7, 2009 Pours a golden yellow with a heavy corn aroma. Tastes a lot of maize with mild metallic flavor. A very non flavorful beer that isn’t special.

Dec 1, 2009 Not very good even for cheap beer. Tastes like a boring lager at first then there is a light bad aftertaste. The bad aftertaste is like wet dog. Lots of corn taste.

Nov 29, 2009 On tap at a mexican restaurant. Pours a light copper with an offwhite head. Aroma is corny and grainy with a bit of hop. Flavor is clean grainy, bland and boring, but crisp with my spicy food. Not very good

Nov 26, 2009 330 ml bottle. Golden color, white head. Malty aroma and flavor. Slightly tart mouthfeel. Light body, medium-high carbonation. Contrary to the name, there’s nothing special about this brew.
