Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

Pours a lovely dark brown with a small tan head that lingers. Aromas of alcohol, raisin, caramel and malt. Strong anise flavors. Very bitter. Burnt toffee and caramel. Medium body. Soft carbonation. I think I prefer regular bastard better.

[2136-20090509] 1pt6floz bottle. Sweet malty syrup aroma has very heavy syrup hops. Clear, dark red amber body with a quick foamy light tan head. Super boozy heavy malty hops flavour. Medium-full body. Big beer, big booze.

Bottle 650ml. @ home.
Clear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dark berry, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20090206]

Bottle. I believe this is much better than the "normal" bastard. Smoother and even has a higher alcohol content. What big beers should be.

Amber colored beer with white head. Strong hoppy flavor that is well balanced with the overall malt. The alcohol flavor is a bit strong at first but tapers away. It is a great beer and I think I prefer it to regular Arrogant Bastard. I just couldn’t drink it every day at 10%. I look forward to Double AB every year!!

Pours a amber-orange color with a thick tan head. Aroma of grapefuruit, pine, and carmel malts. flavor is similar with grapefuit, pine, carmel, bourbon, but also has some other fruit flavors. mouthfeel is heavy with a slight but not overpowering alchool note. overall, a very complex and tasty Strong Ale.

Yuck! I had high expectations for this one, given it’s rating and reputation. It pours into the glass llike syrup. Very unattractive. Very low carbonation. Taste is excessively sweet, like cotton candy. Not enough hop balance. This doesn’t taste at all like beer. Will not be buying this one again... highly overrated!

Bomber. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Chewy hoppiness with a nice grass y feel to it. Moderate malt and fruity etoh warming with sugar sweetness. Then my notes says F.Drunk. Great beer. A big beer for big bellies.
