Apr 24, 2008 Bottle, 2007. Pours a deep red/amber/brown color with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of caramel malt, some floral hops. Flavor mainly of malt, some floral and piney hops, faint grapefruit notes. Delicious! Thick mouthfeel, so this is a sipper, but is one of the most balanced American strong ales. Sweet, but not too sweet and thick, but not too thick. Excellent, best ASA I’ve had to date. I love this beer! (Oh yeah, also the label is awesome!)

Apr 24, 2008 ...the bigger, badder brother of satan himself. This shit is really hardcore, and will give you super human strength. Massively complex, dark and roasty, yet sweet to mask the high alcohol content. I would like to drink this again, but you can’t get it in Florida. This will make you a true badass just by drinking it.

Apr 23, 2008 Bottle at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a rich red-amber with a smattering of white foam on top. Very thick palate, with rich, chewy malts and a slight woodiness. This is counterbalanced by a monster hoppiness loaded with pine and grapefruit. The alcohol is noticeable as well. Very big and bold. Awesome!

Apr 23, 2008 on tap at 1702 nice chestnut color with whie lasting head. aroma of sweet and almost a little spice. flavor is sweet and malty and young. slight alcohol. well rounded sweet and bitter. really nice fresh on tap.

Apr 19, 2008 Cloudy orange beer with a tight orange-cream head. Massive sweet cookie malt and resinous hop aroma. Huge hop attack bolstered by thick chewy matls, something vaguely spicy in there, gargantuan flavour and heavy mouthfeel. Intense but not overbearing, big alcohol is almost undetectable. A gorgeous beer!

Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thick creamy, foamy light brown/beige head. Aromas of hops and flavors of sweet dark fruit, alot of hops with a nice lingering finish.... One of the best ive ever had.

Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours ruby brown with a beige head. The first sniff was all hops, which quickly gave way to caramel, brown sugar, and fruit (berry, plum). Medium/full body. Flavor starts with sweet malt, caramel, just a hint of chocolate, and plum. Then a slight roasted flavor emerges, followed by floral and piny hops. The finish is long , dry, and pleasantly bitter. Very good.
