Feb 23, 2008 very nice aroma of caramel malt/yeast esters/spicy hops, very malty and bittery (grapefruit pithy bitter) - i can’t decide if I like it or not though, it’s almost like drinking hopped pancake syrup - over-rated as are most ’extreme’ beers

Feb 22, 2008 Bomber. Pours a dark red/amber with a thin white head. The aroma is mostly hops and fruits. The taste starts out being quite fruity with a sweet full malt. It also has a strong alcohol presence that kicks. Later I found the hops to really stand out. So strong and yet somehow drinkable and easy. Great. If this is evil I don’t want to be good.

Feb 22, 2008 75 cl bottle, thanks to Storm. pours clear and golden red with a little lacing white head. hoppy and fruity aroma. Flavour is nice hoppy and with a light liqourice and peppery note. Dry almost woody finish. Ends dy hoppy and with a lingering caramel malt flavour. Solid and hoppy - great.

Feb 22, 2008 Updated: Dec 6, 2008Thanks to Hellbilly for this! Pours mahogany with tan head and thick lacing. Caramel malts on the nose. Big malty backbone with a blast of hops. Nice lingering pomegranate finish. in my opinion this is the best in the bastard series

Feb 20, 2008 This is some dank shit. I consider it mothers milk. Strong and in your face with a big nose a full flavor. At 10% this beer can get on quite quick but is still very drinkable. Good combo of hops and malt, very thick beer that punches you in the mouth. Great beer overall. You’re Not Worthy!!!!

Feb 18, 2008 Different from the original arrogant bastard. Nice aroma. Much more maltyness than the regular bastard. Much less hops as well. Good drink overall with just a bit of alcohol bite.

Feb 18, 2008 overrated, sure it has 2% more ethanol, which only detracts from the experience, double what else? not as solid a malt base as the plain ol’ ordinary bastard. It has a clear orange red appearance and a foamy head than slowly bubbles up and can be restored with a swirl. another example where double does not translate into better -

Feb 17, 2008 Courtesy of Dragonstout. Pours a murky copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma is mostly hop and booze. Tastes of caramel, hops, grain, honey, dark sweet fruit, some spice. Finishes with a slight hop presence. Mouth feel is mostly solid bodied with a sweet and tart finish.
