Bottle, Amazing beer! Pours ruby red with minimal head. Nice hoppy notes, sweet caramel, with some mild citrus. If you could match the nose of the arrogant with the taste of the double you would have a wicked brew!

Pours hazy ruby brown with a foamy tan head. Ripe fruit, alcohol, anise, pine, and citrus aroma. Bitter pine and molasses taste with some roast. A kick right in the face.

Very strong and complex. Pours a reddish brown with small ring of head. Mostly hop aroma. Tastes syrupy, malty and sweet. Notes of caramel, toffee. Hop flavors come out towards the end. Dry, slightly bitter finish. The best I’ve had from Stone

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a nice white head. Nice caramel and hop aroma. Boozy taste with a hop bite. Wicked good. It’s a perfect double.

Very strong hops flavor and bitterness with some malt. Pours a dark copper color with white head, and the aroma is very hoppy like that of a double ipa. This is a great beer if you like very hoppy and bitter brews.

Strong caramel aroma, hops a little skunk. Amber colour with a good frothy white head. Syrup like texture. Tangy bitter hop flavour. Sharp and cuts right to the palette. Grapefruit lingering around afterwards. Very tasty ale. Should have looked at the ABV. Wondered why I woke up with a wee hangover.

Now this is beer! Great looking and tasting beer. Deep flavors and a richness that is hard to find in a beer this strong.

2007, 22 oz bomber. Pours a clear, dark orange-brown colour with a cream coloured, frothy but quickly disappearing head. When I say quickly disappearing, I mean quick!! I turned my head for a minute and it was gone when I turned back around. Aroma of pine, malts, citrus, grapefruit, nuts, hops, caramel and alcohol. I started to smell the aroma before the cap was completely off. Flavour is the same as the aroma with a tangy sort of aftertaste.
