Ungstrup (10776), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 16, 2004 A red beer with a small disappering head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of berries. The flavor is great; totally dominated by hops but combined with berries and roasted notes (chocolate?). A wonderful beer. Thanks to Mads Berg for sharing this. omhper (9937), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 20, 2004 Updated: Jun 9, 2004Bottled, thanks hopsrus!!
Deep red, rich head. Soapy balsamic grapefruit aroma. Sweet and syrupy with soft mouthfeel and cookie malt flavuor. The oiliness and bitterness casued by an extreme amount of hops are being balanced by a huge body and loads of alcohol, but the sweetness is shining through a little, detracting from the perfect hop juice image. Papsoe (9637), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 14, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Hazy, orangey brown with a dense, stable, beige head that leaves some laces. Fat aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Fairly full body with lots of sweet caramel, overripe fruit and cinnamon. A fairly hoppy finish. Lovely. 030407 Oakes (6771), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 12, 2002 Light reddish-brown; aroma of dying embers, toffee, cherry cheesecake, earthy hops; this is thick! thick! thick!.
