Taste of sugary water and not much else. Not as fizzy as it was in the 70s but still shite! MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada

This unexpected little "bonus" created the most explosive, cascading creamy head and what impressive lacing to boot! The colour was a cloudy orange/amber, but what of the aroma. Has my nose gone dormant? Perhaps I served it too chilled and not in the traditional British method of not so cold. The taste was of coffee and perhaps some caramel. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Poured a clear amber color w.th a big white head. Aroma was of mostly bland malts, with some spicy hops floating in there. Flavor was much the same, sweetness in the foretaste and a decent hop finish. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 1, 2008 ...big can. Not too bad at all, I was surprised. Weird malty flavor, as I can remember. I need to try this again to refresh my memory, but I think it was pretty decent, and relatively inexpensive. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Can -- Pours an orangey brown with no visible carbonation but a short creamy white nitro head with good retention and tremendous lacing. The aroma is gentle malt with a bit of bread and fruit. Gentle, creamy mouthfeel with no carbonation. The flavour is also gently malty with a little bitterness at the end. This was my favourite brew 20 years ago during a trip to England -- sitting in a warm pommy pub on a cold winter’s night with a pint of this was heavenly. It’s still OK 20 years on in Australia (sort of friendly, warm and comforting, actually), but it really needs the British backdrop to bring out the flavour. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 7, 2007 I recently tried this on tap at a local Toronto eatery and found it to be a very boring beer. The colour was a nice golden hue with an off-white head that lingered for a while. The aroma was nothing spectacular, slightly malty but long lasting. The flavour was mild, not strong, not bitter as I had expected. Like other ales I have tried it was slightly thick on the tongue with weak carbonation.
