Canned. Amber with a persistant creamy head. Faint malty aroma. Goes down fairly smooth, albeit a bit thin, leaving some bitterness.

An amber coloured beer, with a roasted malt nose. The malt flavor is assertive in an unpleasant way, but once you get past it there are some nice toffee and vanilla notes. Fairly heavy mouthfeel. It's ok, but not a favorite.

A beautiful English Ale in my opinion. A large frothy head that dominated the top half of my glass. Some lacing. Aromas of roasted malt and caramel. Tasting one of these made me feel as if I were in an English Pub. A fine beer with a great name . The older bottles in the early 90's were cooler.

440mL can. the nitro widget in this seemed to make the head frothier than most other widgert cans, and it spills over the top every time. big frothy dead white head, orange brown colour, and the usual caramel, and malt tastes from a macro bitter.

Sample- 500 Ml bottle- Poured a thick white/orange head that stuck around for a few minutes. Aromas of fruit at first, and hints of malt afterwards. Body is a dark amber colour, and looks thick. Tastes of fruit, caramel, and malt in the background. It starts of smooth, and leaves a nice bitter taste in your throat. Decent.

Sweet and sour notes in the fruity, caramel, aroma with some hoppiness off the top. Clear golden amber with thick, pillowy, large-bubbled, white head that recedes slowly leaving traces down the glass. Sweet and fruity (apple), with a nice, gentle, lasting bitterness in the finish. Medium body and decent carbonation lend this a pleasing mouthfeel. Bottle.

Actually, I found this English Ale to be disappointing. Skunky smell and sourish taste. Not as smooth and/or balanced as a Bass, for instance. Reminds me of soggy Wheaties.

pleasant, sweet malty aroma. Pours copper brown, thick white head with nice lacing. Hops in the flavour, a slight sweetness. Low on the malt. Not spectacular but not a bad english ale.
