Some very rounded malt sweetness and long, very soft hop bitterness at first. Moderate to watery body. Appealing slightly fruty / spicy tones at room temp not unlike some cheap belgian blondes. Don’t chill this beer. As I drink an industrial-hop bitterness starts to build up with each sip, it hangs on the tongue and palate, I know if I drink the whole can it will irritate my gut (typical cheap Brit beer.) A paradigm of mediocrity - it’s like a banal conversation you feel you must feign interest in. bark (255), Linköping, Sweden
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 14, 2005 Nitr-can. The colour is pale brass; the nitro-foam forms a finger-thick compact off white head. Looks good to me!
The smell is subtle and a bit sweet with notes of nuts and a trace of some faceless hops.
The carbonation is very very very weak, almost stale.
The taste is mild with a chemical/artificial flavour with some sweet malts and a weak bitterness. The aftertaste is mostly sour (like an used dishcloth).
This is probably the worst ale I have encountered, which is sad, as I like this style quite a lot. FROTHINGSLOSH (2001), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

There was a light sweet aroma. The flavor is lightly malty, faintly sweet and very mildly hoppy. Another boring English ale, yawn. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2005 Nitro tap. Medium amber colored with a dense white head. Fantastic lacing. Malty aroma. A bit sour with aroma. Hops are perhaps a bit vegetal. Smooth mouthfeel. Decent. oh6gdx (8838), Vasa, Finland
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 1/10 | 5/5 | 6/20 | Jan 29, 2005 Canned, clear orange colour, creamy white head. Smell is malty and bitter. So far so good, looks like a more promising one than Caffreys Irish Ale, but no. Once you taste this one you get the big surprise, it’s very watery and the only taste I find is a very sour one. The taste completely spoils the beer imo. It gets worse and worse the warmer it gets. Plus points for that it looks nice, and it feels good in the mouth (with taste not counted). But that’s almost the only positive things. pintbypint (1006), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 17, 2005 440ml "caskflow" can. Deep gold to orange appearance, expected tight creamy white head. Malty aroma. Starts very watery and bland then some malt and a dash of bitterness kicks in at the finish. I remember this beer having a lot more character years ago, I think it might be another victim of the widget. dewolfpack (59), Petit De Grat, Nova Scotia, Canada
