Commercial Description:
Only available at the Hood River tasting room, here is another glowing example of DM’s eclectic abilities. Spicy and mouth wateringly robust. The 7.5% ABV is well masked with rows of piquant yeastiness and delectable almond notes

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep, dark brown with almost zero head and minimal lacing. Aroma of yeast, clove, cardamom, almonds and light pepper. Flavor was a nice mixture of yeast, caramel malt and spice with a hint of almonds mixed in. A very unique beer from one of the best breweries working in Oregon today.

On tap. Great pour, deep red, off-white head. Great clarity. Nose is big malt forward, chocolate, cherry, berries, caramel, plum. Cloying sweetness on the palate, needed some sugar to lighten up the body, sort of sticky and thick like syrup. The spiciness of the yeast didn’t really pull off that dry spicy finish that I was looking for.
