I didn’t expect much out of this beer because of the low abv, but I was completely blown out of the water by it. I’ve become so infatuated by alcohol bomb IIPAs and Stouts that I forgot the pleasures to be gleaned from a nice low alcohol beer. This one poured out a lovely dark brown with a small off white head and solid lacing. The aroma was pure caramel malt with some light chocolate and earthen hop notes. The flavor was shockingly robust with the caramel malt, some light biscuit and chocolate with a small bit of earthen hop. The mouthfeel was so much thicker than I expected, and everything about this beer screamed high quality. If only all low abv beers tasted this great!
