Pours a clear medium orange and has a strong glowing quality with a slight off-white head that dissolves quickly into a wispy layer atop the glass. The aroma is citrus hop, grapefruit rind, and just overall resinous, sticky hops. The flavor is grapefruit, citrus forward with some toasted bread crust with a sweet bitter, slightly dry finish. Its light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Highly sessionable overall and to me has become the quintessential PNW IPA.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Very pilsnery nose. Unique for an ipa, not too much too my liking. Grass and light citrus and a shit ton of bread. Golden pour, no head but nice lace. The flavor is dry and bready, floral, grassy, and a hint of citrus. Light lingering bread, grass, and floral hops. Really bizarre ipa. Drinks nicely however. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2009 On tap at Double Mountain Hood River. Pours out a cloudy gold topped with a cream white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops rush to my taste buds. The taste was more of the double hop attack. Bitterness on the front and end. A good strong hopped IPA. leems (149), Portland, Oregon, USA
