SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA Jun 26, 2007 Draft at Belmont Station:Pours a very cloudy yellow with a big white foamy head. Aroma is very saison like with hints of citrus, pepper and mint. Flavor is amazing, a very unique maltyness mixed with subtle hop flavor and touch of citrus, very creamy and smooth. Tiny bits of clove flavor. Extremely complex, tasy, mouthwatering and refreshing.
boFNjackson (609), Portland, USA Oct 29, 2008 Tap... Poured a hazy, vibrant yellow with a white head, nice lacing throughout the beverage. Crisp aroma of cracker grains and floral herbs. Had the body of a lager and other lager characteristics, but the depth and hop bitterness of an ale. Think of a hoppier, more aggressive golden ale. BeerFanDan17 (415), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pretty standard for a Kolsh. Sampled at the taproom and brewery in Hood River, OR. Smooth and cerealy. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 19, 2008 Pale golden coloring. Nose is quite grainy, light floral notes, but pretty malt dominant. Bready malt notes, but overally pretty light and tame. Not really distinctive, kind of falls under that catch all blonde ale, not really a kolsch in my opinion. It’s a tough style to brew and this one misses the mark. Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 15, 2008 Draft. A hazy yellow almost green beer with a thin of white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, while the flavor is sweet with very strong notes of citrus. The body is thin. BückDich (4605), Boise, Idaho, USA Nov 19, 2007 Tap: Hazy yellow, light husk and a grainy malt note, more dusty notes; malt and hop. Light finish, decent body. An ok kolsch with an up front malt note but nothing much in the fragrant hop or yeast department.
