SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA Jul 4, 2007 Draft at Belmont Station: Pours a beautiful cloudy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of honey and orange blossom. Flavor is lightly malty and sweet and has a nice orange/tangerine flavor and tons of floral hop flavor with a bitter hoppy backbone. I have had IPA’s less hoppy than this. This one is all about the hop flavors more than the bitterness though and it makes it quite delicous and easy to drink. Could put down lots of these in one sitting.
spikester (460), Salem, Oregon, USA Oct 14, 2008 From a growler fill at the brewery.
Pours pale amber with a good-sized white head and plenty of lacings. Aroma is floral hops.
Taste is grapefruit citrus bitter hops. Just enough malts to support the bitterness. Tangy, almost crisp. Close to IPA level of hops. Very tasty brew. I will enjoy the rest of this growler. Due to the reasonable abv, this would be a fine session APA. BiddleBrau (160), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 Golden with thin white head. Nice floral hop aroma. Bitterness hits first but is not cloying. Clean finish, bitterness and carbonation create a prickly mouthfeel that enhances hop bitterness
Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 12, 2008 On tap at Green Dragon in PDX--Poured a hazy glowing orange-golden hue with a fluffy small white head. Nice summer quaffability with a great play between the subtle malts and hops. Slight citrus tang and a solid but not pushy malt character. Yum! BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 19, 2008 Great sessionable pale ale. This would be great to drink all the time. Simple with a great malt structure you can really sink your teeth into. Bitter hoppiness, lots of citrus and grapefruit. A simple, well balanced pale ale. Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 15, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fruit and flowery hops. The flavor is sweet malty with spicy notes of hops as well as notes of flowers and fruits.
