oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Apr 28, 2008 Cask. Deep brown/rubyish red colour with small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some mild notes of wood and smoke. Flavour is quite much the same, balanced up with some flowery hops. fiulijn (5900), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 7, 2008 Cask conditioned at Cockney Pub, Århus Black color; creamy head. It has some roasted malt aroma, and yeasty dough in the beginning, some hop later. It has a reasonably smooth mouthfeel; the flavor is quite balanced in the front, but quickly gets dominated too much by the roasted malt, that is not extreme, but still too aggressive for my liking. The final has also too much roasted bitterness, and a sourish touch from it. Correctly brewed, but not in my target. harrisoni (5382), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 3, 2008 Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Black with dark brown edges. Rather a lovely choccy aorma. OK, definitely a choccy porter. Rather good. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Feb 17, 2008 Cask@St. Urho’s, Helsinki
Almost opaque ruby red color, small tan head. Coffee and ash in the nose. Very roasted malty flavor. Some tar also. Thin mouthfeel, otherwise quite drinkable cask porter. Some hops in the aftertaste. fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Jun 10, 2008 Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008. Clear dark red brown color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Very easy to drink. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)
