Half pint gravity fed at the Battersea Beer Festival, pours black with a bubbly tan head. A warming roasted malt aroma with chocolate notes. A light mouthfeel (maybe a little watery), but a strong finish with a tasty bitter chocolate flavour.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Black with dark brown edges. Rather a lovely choccy aorma. OK, definitely a choccy porter. Rather good.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Battersea Beer Festival.
Lovely dark black red colour with a thin bubbly head. Nice coffee and dark malt aroma with some slight sulphurous notes. Much more like a mild than a porter in the mouth. Nice coffee and mellow malt. Really pleasant and drinkable if not a high scorer.

[cask at Reading beer festival] Deep, rich, sweet fruitiness, red wine, some sharpness comes through, with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Pretty darn good!
