Feb 24, 2008 From growler... pours amber, with little head. Aroma is a smoky malt aroma. This definitely has more flavoring hops that I expected. It pairs with the malt well. There are smoky flavors, but a lot of the bready flavors that I usually associate with an alt. Carbonation seems to be dead on with it.

Dec 27, 2007 Growler. Poured a clear brown color with a medium off-white head. Very slight lacing. Aroma has some caramel and roasted malt to it. Flavor is pretty nutty and also has a bit of smokiness to it. Malty and bitter finish. It’s a decent altbier

Aug 29, 2007 Tasted on tap at brewery. This alt pours a medium to dark amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasty malt, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied alt. Malts are caramel, bready and sweet with a touch of smoke. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of hop bitterness behind the mellow malts. Crisp dry finish. This beer went well with my Ahi Tuna Steak. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Jun 27, 2007 This amber beer doesn’t have a lot of character. there are no off-flavors or aroma, but there isn’t much in the way of on flavors either. Just kind of bland.

Mar 11, 2007 Draft. Dark amber in the glass with an off-white head. Light mix of hops and malts in the aroma. The flavor is light malts with a hint of fruits. Light body and a slight sweet feeling.

Nov 4, 2006 An interesting ale. Pours ruby red with a light, coppery head. Well carbonated and a balanced blend of creamy malt and wheat with light caramel notes. A bit hoppy, perhaps, for an ale, but overall, quite good.
