Oct 15, 2006 Pours a clear copper with an average sized, eggshell white head.
Mild malt and hop aroma.
The flavor is ever so slightly sweet with a soft, yet firm hop bitterness. The hops in this one provide much more bitterness than aroma or flavor with the bitterness lasting through the long, dry finish. I don’t know much about Alts as a style, but this easily fit the description of a German made equivalent of an English Ale. This keg was provided to the Brew Crew at a recent beer festival and I got to try one that I wouldn’t normally spend much time on. Not a bad beer.

Oct 15, 2006 Draught at Brewer’s Jam ’06. Pours a copper/amber color, with a small off-white head. Aroma is flat hops, faint malts, and wood. Flavor is mild as well. Not terribly offensive, but I was glad when the sample glass was empty, so I could move on to the Yeti Imperial Stout.

Aug 16, 2006 An amber pour with a slightly off white head and a lasting clinging lace. A decent malt flavor followed closely by a hops bitter. A good balance on the drink but the hops kicks the malts ass on the finish which is there and lasts. A good beer but different that what the guy beside me described. Would I drink another yessir.

Feb 23, 2006 Brown, fair amount of head. Medium-bodied, not too hoppy, which is surprising with DGB’s beers.

Nov 10, 2005 PLeasent enough. not quite what I expected, but I could not finish the pint, though I doubt it was the fault of the actual beer. Just not pleasing.

Sep 5, 2005 Draft sampler at DGB. Dark amber color with moderate off-white head that diminished slowly. Moderate hoppy aroma. Medium body with smooth texture. Moderate malty flavor with medium finish.

Aug 24, 2005 on draught. Pours a deep red. This beer again has that Downtown Grill floral aroma that most of their brews have. It goes down malty, smooth, watery, with less hops in the taste than in the initial aroma. It’s semi-sweet and easy to drink , but really needs more flavor.

Aug 24, 2005 Draught. Clear copper with white head. Floral, hoppy aroma. Tastes hoppy with a dry finish. A bit too dense for my taste in Alts.
