| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Tasted on tap at brewery. This alt pours a medium to dark amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasty malt, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied alt. Malts are caramel, bready and sweet with a touch of smoke. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of hop bitterness behind the mellow malts. Crisp dry finish. This beer went well with my Ahi Tuna Steak. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
