Nov 28, 2008 Dark clear red brown. Two finger off white head that leaves spotty interconnected lacing. Dark cherry aroma, sweet red nutty malts. Sweet cherries in the malt. Light bitter nutty finish.

Jun 8, 2008 on tap-pours a light tan head and copper color. Aroma is mild sweet medium malt. Taste is sweet medium malt, some nut brown character, secondary biting hops, tea leaf, yeasty. Medium body.

Mar 21, 2008 Very slight aroma of sweet malt, but contains hints of bitterness. This beer was slightly watery. It was ok.

Feb 24, 2008 From growler... pours amber, with little head. Aroma is a smoky malt aroma. This definitely has more flavoring hops that I expected. It pairs with the malt well. There are smoky flavors, but a lot of the bready flavors that I usually associate with an alt. Carbonation seems to be dead on with it.

Dec 27, 2007 Growler. Poured a clear brown color with a medium off-white head. Very slight lacing. Aroma has some caramel and roasted malt to it. Flavor is pretty nutty and also has a bit of smokiness to it. Malty and bitter finish. It’s a decent altbier
