This one surprised me as the aroma was much more hoppy that expected. The flavor also finds lots of hops with some grain and a malt background. Medium body and mild bitterness throughout. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2007 Draught at brewery. Pours gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma is quite hoppy for the style, some bready notes and a bit of paper round it out. Flavor is somewhat grainy, but mostly hoppy, with a decent arrangement of herbal and lightly citrusy hops. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2007 They call it a Bohemian Pils, but it comes across as more of a German style, or perhaps a really American version. Actually, It taste like a really thin bodied APA. Its dark gold, thin white head, and a very faint aroma. Flavor is cereal and bread at first, then a very hoppy finish. The hops are rather resiny, not crisp and clean like I expected. Tasty, if a bit of a style buster.
