Commercial Description:
A deep ruby red, a rich malt flavor and a creamy head hopped just enough to compliment the bittersweet chocolate note.

On draught at the brewers party of the Knoxville Brewers Jam, October 2007. Pretty mediocre porter here, mildly roasty, but pretty darn plain. A litte sour and salt in the finish. meh.

Draft. Nearly opaque brown-black with ruby tints, and a medium-sized lasting head. Pleasant chocolate and woody-caramel aroma. Initial flavors of chocolate-caramel, marshmallow, chalk, and slight wood turn to a smooth cocoa, wood and light chalk aftertaste. Near-medium bodied with average carbonation and slightly dry. Nice porter.

Thin in flavor, but a bit of chocolate. Some hops in there. Not much. Slightly sweet.

Deep red pour, small toffee head. Weak aroma, mostly malty, some chocolate, caramel. Roasty flavor with coffee, caramel, toffee, (dare I say) Oreos. Sweet finish. Nothinig jumps out, but nothing to scare anyone away.

Draft. Black with red highlights in the glass. A Tan head that leaves decent lacing. Subdued but malty aroma. The flavor found coffee, chocolate, and a light roast. Light to medium body and sweet throughout.

Very light in the nose, with a slender, decently-laced head. Tastes of malted barley and roasted coffee, with a bit of a hoppy finish. Chocolate undertones are decent in this, but overall, not one of the better porters I’ve had.

Draught at brewery. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is virtually non-existent. Only some light maltiness. The flavor is quite sweet, and finishes with a nutty hop flavor.
