Commercial Description:
A deep ruby red, a rich malt flavor and a creamy head hopped just enough to compliment the bittersweet chocolate note.

Draft at the Downtown Grill. Poured dark brown, with a nice tan head. Malty, smoky, creamy flavor. A bit hoppy in the finish, not typical for porter, but I like hops.

A dark almost black pour with a nice tan lacing that lasts. An aroma of toasted malt. A nice flavor of toasted malt that gives it a nice coffee flavor. A beer that acts like it wants to be sweet but just not hardly there to meet my tastes. (I likem sweet). A decent bitter that really hangs with you. A decent palate that is just slightly watery. A good porter.

In my opinion, way too hoppy to be a porter. The malt characteristic is smothered by the presence of the hop flavor.

Dark-red with a light brown head. Weak chocolate and coffee aromas. Slighly sweet, more chocolate and malt flavors but not much bitterness. Smooth, with a light hop finish.

Draft sampler at DGB. Reddish/brown color with a moderate off-white head that diminished slowly. Well balanced malt and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with smooth texture. Same well balanced malt and chocolate flavor with moderate sweet finish. Good drinkable porter.

on draught. Very, very dark red with a light head. I couldn’t coax much of an aroma from this one. It is overal caramelly sweet with some nuts in the finish. I would prefer it to be roastier and more robust, especially for a porter.

Draught. A nice, deep red. Some caramel in the body and a pleasantly nutty finish. A bit sweeter than other porters, but not in a bad way.

Tap. Aromas of yeast and malt with faint chocolate notes. Pours black with deep red hints and an off-white head; good lacing. Toasty, caramel and chocolate malt flavor with a light hop finish. Full bodied and dark palate.
