on tap-pours a retaining thin light brown head that laces and black color with red tint. Aroma is dark malt-cocoa/molasses. Taste is dark malt-cocoa/molasses/some coffee, secondary dry earthy hops. OK carbonation. Right on target for style, just not my taste.

Draft sampler at DGB. Reddish/brown color with a moderate off-white head that diminished slowly. Well balanced malt and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with smooth texture. Same well balanced malt and chocolate flavor with moderate sweet finish. Good drinkable porter.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 136. This draft brew was sampled at the Brew Pub in Knoxville Tennessee and served by an attentive staff that included the Owner, the bar manager, Daniel Goss, and the assistant brewer Joey Barbarito. This brew poured a head of fine to large sized light brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace and a uncarbonated transparent ruby red brown colored body. It had a mild brown malt aroma and a smooth thick mouthfeel with no bite and a mild tingle. The flavor was that of a mild porter with no coffee.

Tap. Aromas of yeast and malt with faint chocolate notes. Pours black with deep red hints and an off-white head; good lacing. Toasty, caramel and chocolate malt flavor with a light hop finish. Full bodied and dark palate.

Draft at the Downtown Grill & Brewery in Knoxville, TN. A small sized light brown head with fine-large sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body of this beer was uncarbonated and semi-transparent with a ruby hue. The nose was malty and the flavor was mild coffee with a bit of an aftertaste to it. The mouthfeel was smooth and this beer had average lacing.

Dark ruby to black, tan head. Clean, delicate aroma. A tad vinuous on the tongue, and mild roasted coffee flavor. Dirty, earthy hop finish.

Thin in flavor, but a bit of chocolate. Some hops in there. Not much. Slightly sweet.
