Commercial Description:
Creamy and substantial, this brew is bursting with the flavor of dark roasted grains. Oats add a soft velvety texture that blends well with the distinct malty flavor.

Growler sample at Noogfest High 5. Poured black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is much the same with some roastiness. Medium body.

Sampled at Noogfest High 5. The body was black with a light brown head. The aroma was coffee and molasses. The taste was lightly tart coffee with some blueberries. I found this one to be a pleasure.

Had this with the Downtown Grill & Brewery sampler. It was good but compared to the others, it was a step down. A little to strong for my tastes. But certainly not bad.

looks like a menace, black coal body with a dark brown head, roasty flavors of chocolate and mocha, slightly off sourness toward the end of the flavor, chalky black roast finish, a nice stout

Stopped in after the Xmas Eve^3 at tronraner’s. Very dark brown pour with garnet highlights and creamy brown head. Dark roasted malt nose. Lactic flavor and coffee with a bitter chocolate finish. Creamy soft body, but has a chalky dry finish which I didn’t care for too much, but pretty damn good for a brewpub stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown/black color with a one finger brown head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee and some oatmeal. The flavor was a little sweet, with oatmeal being dominate. The body was a little thin, but this was a decent brew.

This poured black in color with a thin brown head. The nose was quite roasted with strong roasted coffee aromas followed by roasted malt and a bit of sweet oatmeal toward the end. In the mouth this was simple and once again showed the roasted flavors from the nose along with sweet dark fruit. The palate was on the thin side and lacked the power I wanted.
