Commercial Description:
Creamy and substantial, this brew is bursting with the flavor of dark roasted grains. Oats add a soft velvety texture that blends well with the distinct malty flavor.

Draft sampler at DGB. Black color with a moderate light brown head that diminished slowly. Moderate roasted malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth creamy texture. Good complex roasted malt and grain flavor with a moderate sweet finish. Good stout.

Sampled at Noogfest High 5. The body was black with a light brown head. The aroma was coffee and molasses. The taste was lightly tart coffee with some blueberries. I found this one to be a pleasure.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 138. This draft brew was sampled at the Brew Pub in Knoxville Tennessee and served by an attentive staff that included the Owner, the bar manager, Daniel Goss, and the assistant brewer Joey Barbarito. This brew poured a large sized head of dark brown colored fine to medium sied long lasting bubbles that left behind an excellent lacing and a dark brown opaque body with no visible carbonation. The aroma was nice with dark malts and mollasses while the mouthfeel was thick smooth and had a mild stout finish. The flavor was very nice with dark malt mollasses and no coffee. It was a very drinkable brew that I enjoyed very much. Nice job Joey!

Draft at Downtown Grill & Brewery in Knoxville, TN. This beer formed an average sized light brown head with fine-large sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was opaque and uncarbonated with a dark brown hue. The nose was chocolate and coffee with a malty and coffee flavor that had a lingering aftertaste. The palate was creamy and full bodied. This beer had excellent lacing.

Black. Actually sucks light out of a room. Completely, totally opaque. Fresh coffee aroma. Full, rich palate. Coffee and burnt toast in the falvor, then a mellow but bone dry hop presence. Big malt flavors, too, with maybe a little smoke flavors. Very filling, very satisfying.
