Commercial Description:
A full-bodied, traditional IPA, well balanced with a healthy dose of English hops. Reminiscent of "historical" Knoxville IPA’s.

Slightly watery IPA starts slow with bittering hops. Slight citrus aroma gives way to the finish that drags its nails as it goes down the throat. Not bad, and with the porter it is their best offering.

Smells a little musty. Looks great. Taste is a decent English IPA. Northern brewers and fuggles? I don’t know if I would order again.

Growler. Poured a clear, golden color with a medium white head. Strong lacing. Pleasant citrus aroma with a hint a sweet malt to it. Mouthfeel is nice. Flavor is a pleasant hoppy taste. Citrus is very apparent, with a nice sweet caramel touch to it. Finish has a pine taste to it. A nice brewpub IPA.

On tap at Knoxville Brewers Jam. Should have known this was an english ipa. Very light on the hops and a decent malt backbone. Easy drinking with alcohol well hidden but not my favorite type of ipa.

Tasted on tap at brewery. This IPA pours a medium orange color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and citrus. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. More in the English style of an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draft. Clear, new penny color. Fruity, earthy aroma of British yeast and hops. Tastes of caramel apple finished with bitter, grassy herbs. Light-medium body and round with no sharp imbalances.

A bit on the mellow side for an IPA, but a nice hoppy pale ale is pretty much what this was. I liked the White Mule better.
