Mar 26, 2008 Reddish amber body with minimal head. Aroma is caramel and some light grapefruit. Simple slightly sweet and somewhat underwhelming bitteness.

Aug 31, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was thin and off white. Aroma and flavor of biscuity malt and light flowery hops accented by mild hop bitterness. Pretty standard.

Jul 3, 2007 Pours amber red color with offwhite head. Aroma is a bit malty with slight earthy hops. Flavor is pretty bitter and abrasive and not well balanced at all. Overall, not too good.

May 1, 2006 Draft. Rich reddish-amber beer with an off-white head. Rich caramel flavor with lots of bittering hops. Some astringency. Lower hop aroma than expected. This one seemed to have too much bittering hops and no where near enough flavor hops.

Sep 13, 2005 On tap at the brewpub in Napa. Decent, average brewpub bitter. Medium orange appearance, light white head. Subtle bitterness, but comes across as slightly stinging. Some citrusy notes in the back end. Average mouthfeel.
