axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 25, 2005 More old notes...pours a medium orangy/brown color body with a small tan head. Sweet clementine orange aroma. Flavors are orange, honey, mild grapefruit, and pine needle. Somewhat sticky palate. Incredible IPA. greghate (10), Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 25, 2005 I had several oppurtunities to have this extraordinary beer at their restaurant...definately a top-notch IPA! bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 18, 2004 Updated: Dec 28, 2004(Cask Conditioned, Drafting Room, Exton, PA) Pours a cloudy amber-brown with a small beige head. Aroma of orange and pine. Nice balance of a variety of hops. Very smooth palate. One of the better IPAs I have sampled. meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA Dec 3, 2004 This came in a half-gallon growler jug courtesy of PisskyNights, many thanks to him. This poured out a clear dark amber color with good bubbling carbonation and a tall white head of foam peeking out of the glass. As the head receded down of a covering of bubbles it left good sheet of lace around the glass that clung to it for a while. Very pleasant aroma stirs from the glass with a nice blend of fruity sweet malts as well as a sharp citric hop smell. Definite notes of floral and piney hops as well mingle about to make this wonderful smelling brew. Quite the balanced nose as neither the malts nor the hops tend to dominate but at the same time both make their presence well known. Great flavor here with sweet caramel malt taste upfront followed by the citric piney bite of the hops. A nice crisp clean taste all around with a bitter finish, very tasty indeed. Mouthfeel is about medium with good carbonation. Obviously drinkability is not a problem with the entire growler being downed quite easily in one sitting and I wish I had more afterwards. A well-balanced and tasty IPA that I would highly recommend you try if you can get your hands on it. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2004 Updated: Nov 15, 2005On Tap. Poured a medium to dark orange color with a large off white head. Citrus aroma with some pine. Sweet. Honey, piney and orange tastes. Marc (477), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 1, 2004 Piney herbal hop with big sweet malt (almost like dimatap...but good) with dark fruits. Cloudy amber with a thin persistant head. Big bitterness that isnt harsh. Dark flavors with herbal hops, hop funk, vinious malt, and a bit of alcohol. Touches of Soap and spice fade in as it warms leading up to a Herbal hop finnish with traces of biscuty malt. Thanks a bunch Eric. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA Jul 30, 2004 on tap at the bar. Clear amber with a medium head. Floral hop nose with some slight hints of pine. Nice floral hop flavor, good grapefruit bitter to finish which beckons you to come back for another drink. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jul 30, 2004 On tap at the bar. I was getting slightly wasted when I had this, but here are my notes. Sweet, sugary citrus aroma. Mildly hazy coppercolor. Lots of honey to start, leading to quite and intense bitter hoppiness. A sweet IIPA. Kinda like 120 minute, but not THAT sweet.
