Commercial Description:
Released as both Drafting Room 14th Anniversary Ale and Troegs Scratch 12

This bold IPA is brewed with Pils and Vienna malt and Amarillo, Warrior, and Mount Hood hops. It has fresh citrus and pine aromas followed by bold dry hop flavors, a faint nutty malt backing and a tantalizing hop finish that lingers on the tongue.

A bold west-coast style ipa. Wonderful citrus, piney aroma. Very little malt flavor evident, but packed with citrus hop flavor that finishes long and dry. An excellent sesson beer

Pours cloudy golden blonde with a medium white head. Citrus fruits and pine in the nose. Great hop flavor with very little malt. Dry bitter citrus peel finish. Delicious! Wish this was part of their regular distribution.

One hell of an IPA... pours cloudy gold color with an immovable head that laces like no other. citrus, pine, with a touch of grass and soft malt in the aroma. flavor is citrus, pine, and a bit of grass but in a good way. faint biscuity backing with soft pils malt. perfect mouth feel slighty chewy with gentle carbonation. On tap and firkin at Drafting Room in Springhouse. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma pine, grapefruit, lightly floral, mixed citrus and bready malt. Flavor of fresh American hops, pine, grapefruit, orange, bready malt and floral. Firkin was about the same, a bit more hop flavor, the orange and Amorilio really coming through in flavor.

[Draft and Firkin @ TDR SH] Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus, hay, floral hops, and toasty malts. Taste of citrus, orange peel, toffee, pine, grapefruit, and a citrusy / bitter finish.

12oz Bottle. Noses softly in sugary plum juice, passionfruit, and lemons. Very fresh and fruity. Dappled with a few piney washes. Pours a peachy golden orange, with a rim in clean white. Flavor is dense and concentrated. A nice rash of jamaican spice, fresh pineapple rind, airy Loblolly resin, and sweet grasses. Fresh. The palate of this beer is nice. Some very decent malt sweetness keeps pace with the hop attack. It then releases skyward with light, airy dryness and carbonation that really carries the beer. A nip of heat helps with the hops, in my opinion. Lots of long bitterness that holds well in spice and grasses. A nice beer. My favorite part about this beer, is that for a very affordable price, I was able to purchase an entire case of rare, brewery-only, limited release damn-good IPA. A decent score for any beerhunter.

Draught at TDR Ex: Hoppy aroma. Smells of floral, fruit, citrusy, piney hops, and tropical fruits. Poured yellow/gold in color with a medium-sized rocky white head that lasted. Hazy. Slightly sparkling. Very good lacing. Lightly sweet, medium bitter flavor. Tastes of hops, flowers, pine, and tropical fruit. Medium body. Smooth, then chalky texture. Average carbonation. Dry, medium-bitter hop finish. Could be more bitter.
