Commercial Description:
Released as both Drafting Room 14th Anniversary Ale and Troegs Scratch 12

This bold IPA is brewed with Pils and Vienna malt and Amarillo, Warrior, and Mount Hood hops. It has fresh citrus and pine aromas followed by bold dry hop flavors, a faint nutty malt backing and a tantalizing hop finish that lingers on the tongue.

One hell of an IPA... pours cloudy gold color with an immovable head that laces like no other. citrus, pine, with a touch of grass and soft malt in the aroma. flavor is citrus, pine, and a bit of grass but in a good way. faint biscuity backing with soft pils malt. perfect mouth feel slighty chewy with gentle carbonation. Great IPA

A nice brew only found at the DR. Well balanced with a nice hop profile with malt giving some support. Hazy golden with thin head. Nice aroma.

Bottle, scratch 12. Clear amber color with a large head. Aroma of citrus (lemon), pine and a little cat pee wrapped by the sugary malts. Bitter taste, with much more citrus and less pee. Fruity and bitter finish.

Bottle from kmweaver. Thanks Ken. I put the bottle in my fridge and stared at it over a few weeks wondering "What the heck is this?" and it sat some more. I finally decided to open it, expecting it to be barleywine. Pours yellow with a small bubble head quickly fading. Wow, it’s got a nice hoppy aroma, kind of smells like an IPA or a hoppy barleywine. Taste is really hoppy bitter. Tons of IBUs here. Some melanoidins. Not as sweet as some IIPAs I love, but still excellent. Not as smooth either, I suspect many of the IPAs I love (eg. Hop 15) have more sugar, which hides the bitterness. This one makes no attempt to hide the bitterness. Really unexpectedly wonderful. 3.9, but numbers add up to 4.0.

on tap-pours a rich off white head that laces slightly and hazy yellow color. Aroma is citrus/pine/some pungent hops, medium malt. Taste is pungent/resin/pine/some citrus-hops, secondary medium malt/bready. Finishes with some tannins/metallic.

Hazy golden color with a long-lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of lemon, orange, pine, and grass. Taste is of lemon, orange, pine, and some soapiness with a bit of biscuit in there too. Higher than medium carbonation and less than medium body. Pretty good beer, though I like some of their regular offerings better.
