bottle bonused to me by Dragon Stout, ( what a surprise ) Pours a dark brown with ruby red tones with a 1/2" tan head. Nose is very sweet with molasses being the dominate smell. Flavor is the same. It is to sweet, but I don’t understand the low ratings of some of my fellow ratebeerians. I didn’t get any vinyl flavor. Drank at cellar temp. Mouthfeel is medium with low carbonation.

284ml bottle acquired in trade with DragonStout (how appropriate!). Poured a dark, dark brown color wtih a huge (5 finger) sized head. Aromas of vinyl (like the plastic covered sofas), roast, and caramel. I can’t get past the plastic. Tastes of chocolate, dark fruits (raisins and plums), caramel, brown sugar, and a trace of coffee. Sweet.

Black with a red tinge. Head completely disappears. Sweet malt somewhat roasted aroma with a fair amount of alcohol. Too sweet. Body not full enough to support the alcohol.

284 mL bottle pours like soy sauce with a short, tan head. Aroma is lots of alcohol, prunes, cheap wine. Flavor is a disturbing blend of Diet Dr. Pepper, Cough Syrup and a hint of Soy Sauce. This is one to haunt your dreams. The palate is pretty awful too, adding to the sensation of drinking soy sauce. Overall, finished half so, I guess it wasn’t a total drainpour. I’ll take SA triple bock instead any day.

12oz bottle-pours a big foamy cascading to rocky light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt (and fruit?). Taste is dark malt, sweet chocolate (and fruit?), slight spiciness/acidic hops. Weird mouth feel-kind of a dusty porter meets seltzer effervescence. Interesting. Occasional. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

Its body was black with a little head. It had a well balanced taste of chocolate and caramel which was amazing.

they tried to convince me this was a half decent stout, i said "no, no, no". where are these ratings coming from!? the worst stout i’ve ever drank: ’Bobsy’ has it right in his review. From the first sip this is weak, thin, overly sweet - some trace of coffee/cocoa but these are overtaken by a mettalic/alcoholic tang. an embarrasment to other stouts.
