| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Apr 12, 2007 284 ml bottle. Solid black with a frothy light brown head. Heavy molasses aroma times three. Maybe some espresso and prune scents. Way too sweet molasses flavor. Sugary finsh. Not a whole lot of other flavor dimensions (roastiness, e.g.) to add facets to the overbearing malt+corn syrup+priming sugar sweetness. Maybe a trace of hop (from the ’extract’ perhaps). Then again, maybe not. Overall, just totally sweet and syrupy and I’m not liking it. Bad buy. oakbluff (300), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Appearance was a nice typical dark stout with good head. Flavour had some roasty notes, but mostly just sickly sweet. Mouthfeel was ok, but this stout was just way too sweet for me. The alcohol was hidden nicely. Would be a good substitute for chocolate sauce on your ice cream- that’s how sweet this was. No noticable hops either. Not worth trying again. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2007 A stout from Jamaica. This I had to try. although it did not have the body, the flavor was quite nice. It had nice stout like notes of coffee and molasses. Sanchex (223), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2007 This is a really sweet stout. Pure malt characteristics. Caramelly, mild cherry, prune, grape flavour. Pure opaque black in color. Not much nose and very little head. It really doesn’t taste like a 7% beer but not sure if I could drink 2 in a row. This one is okay. Cheers! elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Pourss a dark brown color, with 2 finger head. Roasted malt flavor. Hints of caramel, and not a lot of hopiness. Medium bodied that finishes kind of sweet. Best Jamacian beer had so far.
