A dark brown coffee colour with a weak, creamy brown head. A strong malty nose with a hint of caramel and a touch of liquorice. A refreshingly light malt flavour for a beer of such high alcohol. A slight citrusy tang, but with a sweet smoothness to finish

Pours a nice deep dark reddish black. Has a nice flavor with a bit of alcohol presence which is also in the sweet aroma. Very nice stout.

Pours a dark brown, almost black with a thick and not lasting beige head. Chocolate and toffee aroma with a subtle presence of alcohol. Liquorice, chocolate and roasted malt taste, quite sweet overall. Subtle notes of coffee and blackberries. Not my favorite stout but really drinkable and nothing wrong with it.

Re-rated after 4 years of better beer drinking. Very black pour, thick lacy foamy head. Earthy scent with some malts. Taste of tomato, bitter alcohol and raisin. Very early but somewhat sweet. Bit of an alcohol aftertaste.

bottle from eyedrinkale. sweet and tangy aroma, spicy but not peppery-spice, more like anise and licorice spice. malt and roast, with a sweet alcoholic tinge at the end. lightly acidic and bitter throughout despite the overall sweetness (is that a contradiction? somehow, not really). not all that exciting, but nothing wrong with it.

(bottle) Darkest brown colour with a small creamy brown head. Sweet roasted malt aroma with caramel, chocolate and hints of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, medium carbonated. Sweet roastmalty taste with caramel, dried fruits and liquorice. Sweet malty finish covering almost all the alcohol with a shy bitter note. A sweet but not unpleasant Stout.

Forte, riche et beaucoup de saveur (café, cacao, lait). Et croire que ça vient du Jamaique. Boire ça avec du pot ce serait-il bon?

Bottle. It pours a nearly black colour with a quich fading tan coloured head. It has a little roasty smell, hints of coffee malt too. The taste is sweet. It is also roasted and some milky taste. hints of coffe and licorice too. The aftertaste is sweet and fruity. Not a bad beer but i like my stouts not as sweet as this one.
