A bit thin on the palate, and a little to sharply carbonated. It also had a somewhat overly sweet unpleast flavor, but it was different and that’s always cool.

Bottle at Stout NYC. Poured a small tan head that mostly diminished, fine-smal sized bubbles, fair lacing, no visible carbonation, opaque, and a dark brown hue. Malty and alcohol aroma. Flavor was sweet, malty and the vinuousness was not overdone. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body.

Clearish edges, but almost black with reddish reflects. Head is off-white, moderately lasting. Sweet and lactic in the nose, roastiness is rather heavy. Interesting fruitiness array, quite heavily roasty. A sweet chocolate kiss as it enters the mouth, it quickly evolves in a lactic/fruity/vinous manner, but the roasty and anise ultimately win the palate dominance. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Not bad, but I don’t find the elements to be working particularly together here.

I love this shiz. Pours realy realy almost black, with a slight amber hue pale burlap head, thin whispy, disapates into a little swirl that laces all the way down. Pours medium low carbonation, but it seems to loose it’s gaz to the air within 2 pulls. Aroma is chocolate malt, roast barley, caromalized fenel, slight bitter hop, and just a splash of vinila. Taste is very simple yet multi layered. First taste is very sweet chocolate malt, folowed by golden shugar cane syrop, then coffie, robust roasted nuts, dark chocolate, medium hops, sweet cola nut, light hint of floral hop dancing with kiwi skins and dried brown grass. Aftertaste is sweet, silky, folowed by a kinda skanky old hop hint. I love this stout, been drinkin it for years, and it just keeps getting better. Try a dragon punch! In a blender add 1 bottle, 1 egg yolk, and 5 tbsp sweetened condenced milk. Blend on high till smoth, about 40 seconds. Drink over ice. A jamacan clasic, very nice, a little diffrent. Made better with carabian style stout, not draught, but try changing the stout around, ie. guinness exta stout, St. Ambois Oatmeal Stout, Boreal Noir, ect. Cheers

Bottle (300ml). Poured an almost opaque ruby-black with small light brown head, which quickly diminished to a swirl. Aroma is very rich, dark juicy licorice, toffee, chocolate, deeply roasted malt, some hop, a huge noseful of vanilla; very sweet. Taste as above, even sweeter - tastes like all the "dark" candies in the sweetshop at once, with a bitter counterpoint to take the edge off somewhat and stewed prunes and other fruits as it warms. Oily mouthfeel, shortish linger and sweet aftertaste. Not my favorite, but Interesting. I can see the cola kwik-lime mentions in the previous review.

Pours dark brown with a tan coloured head that rapidly dissappears. A pleasant stout with hints of chocolate, cola, coffee, licqorice and alcohol. Good stuff.
