bottle at stogies & stouts. Pours black with mocha head. Aroma light malts with fruity presence. taste of caramel malts for a light sugary palate with touch of dark fruits and hops with good spicy palate and light bitter finish. Interesting stout, drinkable and a good departure from the usual pale lagers.

Poured this into a clear pint glass. Very black bear with a thin head. The aroma was sweet, with hints of chocolate. Taste was unexpectedly sweet. Not a bad beer for something different, but not something I would want to drink often.

Bottle 0,284l at Golders Way 9B 18 Nov 08. Black as coal. A small coffee colored head. Inviting aroma of coffee. Sweet roasted malty flavor. Sweet fruity aftertaste with a dry bitter finish. OK.

Not a fan at all. Almost black with nicotine stained head. Stinks of alcohol. I like a lot of alcohol too but this for the ABV reeks of it. Little caramel but too sweet, too like treacle. So much sugar it makes coke seem like flavourless diet wank. A poor stout IMO, not for me.

Dragon Stout is a black ale with a thick, bubbly, caramel brown head that shows good retention and lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet, with notes of molasses and brown sugar. There seems to be a smokiness to it. It’s pretty full bodied and very smooth. It is thick and chewy with a clean finish. It tastes very sweet and a little grassy. There are notes of rum and toffee. There is a slightly smoky note at the finish. It’s nice, but very sweet. It’s a good thing it’s in such a small bottle.

284ml bottle. Almost black with a tan head that leaves some foam. Brown sugar, light licorice, and slightly plastic aroma. A bit alcoholic in the flavor, with lots of sugar and just a hint of the black malt. Light bodied with modest carbonation. This is like drinking soda, its so sweet. Pretty hard to finish.
